WYBOT S2 Solar Vision

The WYBOT S2 Solar Vision is a cordless robotic pool cleaner with a solar panel on its dock, so it can top itself up from the sun as well as from a wall charger. It scrubs floors, walls, the waterline and steps, and an onboard camera lets it go after dirt instead of driving blind patterns.

What it does well

• Solar + DC charging: the dock's panel charges between runs, with a regular charger as backup for cloudy weeks.
• AI vision mode: the camera spots debris on the pool floor and heads straight for it, which WYBOT says cleans up to 20x faster than a standard pattern.
• Full-pool coverage: floors, walls, waterline and steps, for pools up to about 3,229 sq ft, with 2.5+ hours of runtime.
• Two-stage filtering: a 180-micron filter plus a 40ppi sponge catch both leaves and fine silt.
• Docks itself: it heads back to the dock when the battery drops below 20%, and it's covered by a 2-year warranty.

The honest catch

Even on sale this is a premium price for a pool robot, and the solar panel only earns its keep if the dock sits in real sun. AI vision mode works on the pool floor only, so walls and the waterline still get standard patterns. If your pool is small or shaded, the much cheaper WYBOT C2 Vision covers most of the same ground.
