Watch the Roborock Q7 M5+
The Q7 M5+ is the easiest recommendation under $400: real LiDAR mapping, mopping, and a dock that empties the bin for you for weeks at a time.
What it does well
-
Self-emptying: the 2.7 L dock bag holds up to about seven weeks of dirt.
-
Smart mapping: LiDAR navigation and saved maps for multiple floors.
-
Mops too: adjustable water flow with a removable pad.
The honest catch
Testers and owners rate its carpet cleaning as mediocre. It's best on hard floors and low rugs, and the dock doesn't wash the mop for you.
Verdict
The best value self-emptying robot vacuum for mostly hard-floor homes. See our best robot vacuums under $500.
